TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Making a booking:
Once a course has been selected, the enrolment form is completed and sent to us (email attached or fax) and enrolment fee transferred to St George's Clubclass Bank Account. Indicate clearly student requirements - course, length of stay, host family, transfer from airport, insurance, etc.
St George's Clubclass will issue an invoice which must be paid into our bank account not less than three weeks before the commencement of the course. Once we have received payment in full, we will issue a confirmation of enrolment (invitation letter where appropriate).
Please note that all bank and foreign exchange charges must be paid by the student or agent.
Students and agents must ensure that each student has adequate insurance to cover health accident, injury, theft of personal property and cancellations.
The school will be closed on Public Holidays.

The Fees:
The course fees include registration, tuition, use of school resources and end-of-course certificate.
Accommodation fees are based on full board (breakfast, packed lunch on weekdays/excursions and dinner). We provide twin-bedded rooms and single rooms.

Additional Charges:
Host family accommodation charges are based on 7-night calculation. Students must pay the accommodation charges for any extension of stay.

Bookings for a single room during the peak time (Easter, summer time) must be made at least 4 weeks before the arrival; otherwise we cannot guarantee a single room. A supplement payment for a single room is £15.00 per week (calculated on weekly basis).
Any bank charges incurred on remittances will also be passed onto students.

Full Time Study:

You can choose to pay for 1 whole term or the whole Academic Year in full in advance. Students booked on a short term course must pay in full at least 2 weeks before their arrival.

You cannot make up your days. At the enrolment you will be given the course start date and the course end date; after the commencement of the course these dates cannot be changed. Your course will finish on the day we arranged with you at the beginning of the course.

Should you choose to take some time off during your normal study time you must advise the school in advance and in writing. There will be no refunds on fees. Late arrival for lesson or early departure will be deemed to be a day of absence.

Every student paying the full registration fee will be entitled to the following confirmation letters for free: a bank account opening letter, confirmation of a studentship, and a visa letter at the time of visa renewal. There will be a charge for every confirmation letter from the school for your personal use of £10. (i.e. library card, any other letter confirming your studentship, etc.).

There will be no exceptions.

Study Material and Course Books:
All long-term students must purchase the course books recommended by their teacher. Books are available through the school. Students attending a course for less than 4 weeks do not have to purchase any books. All students will be also provided with additional material.

Students are strongly advised to undertake our Cambridge Preparation Courses. (Taking Cambridge Examination has now become a requirement for those needing visa.) Examination fee is not included in the price; students will be notified of exam dates and details when this information becomes available.

Social Programme and Excursions:
The school offers a range of activities and excursions depending on the type of course. Excursions are offered to students all year round. Students are encouraged to join in the social programmes and excursions organised by the school.

Students have an opportunity to pay for the full social programme when available or purchase individual activities and excursions in which they wish to participate.

GENERAL CONDITIONS:
The school regrets that, if a public holiday occurs during any course, it is unable to grant any reimbursements or replacement for time lost.
The school reserves the right to cancel or change dates, times or any of the other particulars of courses. In the event of cancellation by the school all payments made in respect of courses so cancelled will be refunded.
St. George's Clubclass School of English cares sincerely about the welfare of all its students and makes its best efforts to assist them in resolving problems that may arise for them in or out of school.
While, however, it does its best to help, it accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of deficiencies in the services of any third party which it may use in connection with its own services to students, nor for any injury, illness, damage, loss, delay or inconvenience howsoever occasioned to or incurred by the student. Any additional expenses incurred as a result of any of the foregoing shall be borne exclusively by the student.
In the unlikely event of an unresolved dispute, the laws of the United Kingdom will apply.

CANCELLATION POLICY
The enrolment fee is not refundable or transferable to another student.
Where the school receives a written proof of the visa refusal from the Embassy the full fees will be refunded, less £100 to cover administration costs.
Cancellations must be made in writing. The cancellation date will be the date on which the school receives the written cancellation.
Where the school receives a written cancellation more than three weeks before the commencement of the course then the school will retain 25% of the tuition fee and 2 weeks host family accommodation charges. Other fees will be refunded.
Where the school receives a written cancellation less than three weeks before the commencement of the course then the school will retain 50% of the tuition fee and 2 weeks host family accommodation charges. Other fees will be refunded.
Where there is a cancellation after the commencement of the course the school will retain two weeks host family charges. There will be no refund of tuition fees.
No refunds will be made for absences.

INSURANCE
Insurance provider Endsleigh the largest provider of student insurance in the U.K. we strongly recommend that students take out insurance so that should you be unfortunate to become ill, have an accident or have to cancel all or part of your course (see cancellation policy) you will have cover to help you with the costs involved.
Please note that the insurance premium must be paid together with other fees and must cover the period between your proposed travel dates (arrival and departure).
